Job Description
Our team has an immediate co-op opening for an Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Develop workload-aware Cache and metadata optimization algorithm.
- Perform system testing for high availability and reliable data lake solution.
- Develop problem determination solution for data cache and drive toward root cause identification and resolution on Storage environment.
- Work as part of a small but high performance, startup-like team mainly using Java/Python for development.
Job requirements
What you’ll bring to the team:
- Knowledge and experience in database, bigdata and storage system structures and transaction processing.
- Good understanding of database fundamentals, such as, transaction management, storage engine, MVCC, SQL optimization, recovery, HA.
- Proficient in UNIX scripting and Python programming.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, JAVA, C/C++, and Python.
- Strong research capability and ability to learn new technologies/products quickly.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills are required.
- Good analytics skills. Ability to handle complex tasks by assessing issues and breaking down problems to reach an optimal solution.
