Job Description
Our team has an immediate permanent opening for a Staff Researcher - Big Data Table Store.
Responsibilities:
- Work with smart people and show hands on experiences on Big Data opensource solutions including but not limited to Spark, Kafka, Hudi, Iceberg, Hadoop, Kubernetes, Docker.
- Open mind and do innovation work on data storage optimization using SOTA ML/AI solutions, collaborate with research communities.
- Drive end to end product ready solution by performing system design, implementation, testing for high availability and reliable table store offerings.
- Fun with an environment toward root cause identification and resolution on Storage system.
- Be part of a small, high performance, and startup-like team mainly using Java, Python and C/C++ for development.
Job requirements
What you’ll bring to the team：
- Knowledge and experience in database, bigdata and storage system structures and transaction processing.
- Good understanding of database fundamentals, such as, transaction management, storage engine, MVCC, SQL optimization, recovery, HA.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, JAVA, C/C++, and Python.
- Strong research capability and ability to learn new technologies/products quickly.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills are required.
- Good analytics skills. Ability to handle complex tasks by assessing issues and breaking down problems to reach an optimal solution.
- Ability to work with minimal guidance and have a strong sense of responsibility.
