Job Description

This role is working directly with key stakeholders in Philippines and potentially across markets and functions, as well as engaging with external agencies and third-party analysts. The role reports directly into PH B&W CMI lead with currentlyno direct subordinate.

Key Accountabilities

Support SEA Social Business Analytics Capability (PDC)

  • Lead People Data Centre (PDC) capability for SEA B&W team, governing brief questions, quotas, and quality of deliverable to ensure business impact.
  • Identify business questions that can be answered via PDC, refine and structure the briefs to deliver business objectives, work through potential hypothesis and output storyboard to aid analysts’ understanding and align expectation.
  • Oversee and feedback on deliverables, as well as cross analyse and synthesize insights from different markets outputs.
  • Analyse insights and trends cross markets to find resounding truth at regional level.
  • Communicate the key findings and insights to stakeholders both conversationally and in formal presentation style.
  • Learn about new data sources Unilever has access to including its limitation.
  • This part of the role requires understanding of social listening, search analytic and data integration logic. It does not require coding or data science skills, but the ability to communicate with team with such expertise. In this role, you’ll be working with analysts, data experts, global delivery partners, regional delivery hub, as well as directly serving business team in local and regional team.

Be the SEA B&W Trends Champion

  • Leverage PDC capability, the role requires you to be on top of the happenings in beauty industry beyond Unilever operating category.
  • Proactively share both big and small trends that can lead to both short-term executions and future innovations through both forums and regular-cadence update.

Support PH Innovation Research Projects and Performance Insight

  • Manage overall learning plan: Liaison with agencies, QC and control project network.
  • In this part of the role, you’ll be engaging with diverse internal stakeholders from different brand and markets, and working with several different agencies, both local and global, quantitative and qualitative, and across markets.
  • Extract and analyse beauty & wellbeing KPIs on a monthly and quarterly basis, and communicate with business team on movements and implications.
  • Lead projects related to PH data leverage, i.e. business forecast, channels growth prediction, by working closely with other functions such as finance and CSP.
  • Be a part of data automation process to simplify and unify access across markets to improve efficiency and ensure one version of truth.
  • In this role, you’ll be working mainly on Nielsen and Kantar tracking data, but collaborate with data-led team such as Data & Analytic (D&A), Finance and CSP – global and local.
  • POS and CRM data analysis

Key Requirements

Primary Traits (required)

  • At least 5+ years of experience in data analytics / Research/Insight role – providing insight and recommendation based on data analysis.
  • Experience in leading/overseeing Social or Digital data research projects.
  • Very strong analytical skills – allowing ones to be able to marry different data sources to land insights. Ability to articulate the value of insights with own standpoint.
  • Fluent in both quantitative and qualitative research.
  • Fluent in using any data platforms and tools – not restricted to certain agencies’ application but need to have sufficient experience to be able to learn to use all platforms.
  • Fluent in analysing all types of research data, example includes retail audit, consumer panel, brand tracking, brand health, communication performance, innovation test results, qualitative findings.
  • Ability to learn, unlearn and re-learn very fast.
  • A strong “storyteller” in a corporate context, able to craft concise and compelling messages, simplify complex topics to aid decision-making. The person needs to have strong communication skills and fluent in presenting study output in both PowerPoint presentation and delivering the insights verbally.

Secondary Traits (‘nice to have’)

  • Experience of Social and digital data analytics, hands-on with social listening, NLP, data analytic platforms and search tool.
  • Fluent with the following data sources and platforms: Retail audit data / Nielsen, Consumer Panel Data and Brand Health Tracking Data / Kantar.
