Role Details

Throughout last few years, R&D have been on their journey of “In Silico First” by driving digital transformation. Modelling and analytics is at the heart of this Journey .As Devops manager your responsibility would be to ensure Platform for Data Scientist is future fit from Technology perspective and ensuring that critical Business transformation Projects are delivered successfully.

DevOps Manager is responsible for designing, delivering and supporting enhancements and innovations onto the platform. She/he is accountable for managing operations as such working with Vendor partners and Business stakeholders and delivering solutions on the platform . Need to ensure that right technical in alignment with User expectation is delivered

Devops Manager should be able to understand Strategic Business initiative and technically support same.

Essential skills:

  • Strong technical Acumen: An understanding of Data Science and Data Engineering Concepts is must 
  • Hands on experience in Data Engineering workstream
  • Earlier experience In area of technical data management and reporting. Favourable experience in design of IT tools and it`s testing and deployment Strong business process understanding acumen.
  • Understanding of cloud hosted architecture
  • Focus on IT Quality and delivery to meet business requirements
  • Experience of managing projects: Tasks, Risks and Stakeholder management skills
  • Up-to-date on latest industry trends; able to articulate trends and potential clearly and confidently
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management. Proven ability to impact and influence customers and stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated: able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Vendor Management:
  • Participate in functional and technical design reviews (QA process) with strategic IT suppliers and/or other 3rd parties when/where appropriate
  • Hold vendors accountable for quality and timeliness of deliveries through governance mechanisms
  • Ensure adequate knowledge sharing and retention through documentation
  • Manage multiple vendor teams of large sizes
  • Build Talent and Teams
    • Driving and motivating the team to provide quality deliverables
    • Upskilling and cross training the team to build the right skillset
    • Ensure adequate knowledge sharing and skillset retention

Desirable skills:

  • Agile Development process experience (Kanban/Scrum)
  • Agile project management tools experience: Azure DevOps, JIRA etc.
  • Knowledge in emerging Data Science trends and technology
  • Financial Management of IT projects
