This position offers a unique opportunity within the Global Fabric Enhancers R&D Design team at Port Sunlight, UK, where you'll work with cutting-edge technology in a truly purpose-driven culture.

The position of Digital & Innovation Manager will lead the digital transformation programme for Fabric enhancers, connecting with category strategy. Our digital strategy focuses on enhancing data quality, data engineering, visualisation, reporting, adoption of new relevant tools, data science, modelling and AI integration; this strategic approach ensures that we stay at the forefront of digital innovation, leveraging technology to drive excellence in our fabric care products.

In this role, collaboration is key. The individual will closely partner with the Global Category Director, playing a pivotal role in steering both category strategy and innovation excellence. Their influence extends to shaping the mindset within the R&D program, working seamlessly with the entire category Leadership Team to spearhead digital transformation.

The individual will actively engage with diverse teams across formats, regions, and functions. This includes forging essential connections with Global R&D teams, Digital R&D teams, Consumer and Sensory Science teams, and Brand teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the Digital program for Fabric Enhancers, interpreting R&D and category strategy to deliver the Digital R&D strategy.
  • Build a network of internal and external partners to deliver business impact through data and digital tools within an efficient ecosystem.
  • Bring Digital thinking to the team, embracing a digital in-silico first approach.
  • Oversee the implementation of new digital tools.
  • Actively build digital capabilities and scale them across the globe.
  • Develop a strong culture and capability for digital-led innovation within your program and the wider group.

ALL ABOUT YOU

  • Education to degree level or higher in Science/Engineering/Data-related qualification or relevant R&D experience.
  • Proven track record of delivering business impact from data and/or digital tools.
  • Experience working globally in multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and engage in effective business partnering.
  • Embrace agility and curiosity.
  • Possess an owners’ mindset with a passion for high performance.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent communicator (written and verbal), translating complex digital tools and data insights into key messages for stakeholders (R&D teams, Brand teams, key opinion formers such as trade and consumers).
