Set the Unilever data strategy and lay the foundations to maximise the value of our data​. Deliver the connected Data Platform to accelerate access to integrated and trusted data at scale across the company for analytics and decisions​. Embed core data and analytics capabilities, leading to automation, AI, and Big Data to boost Unilever’s decision intelligence. Lead the Data and Analytics Culture to build a future-fit workforce that values and adopts data-intelligent decision-making across all levels.

Role Profile

We are looking for an enthusiastic and bright candidate to become a part of our team and work closely with our partners and stakeholders to deliver superior analytical capabilities and reporting solutions. The position entails collaborating with the designated engagement partners to consistently address the information and decision-making requirements of diverse business stakeholders at Unilever. This role may involve direct interaction with stakeholders (WL3+) engaging on multiple processes that impact ilstakeholders, both directly and indirectly, daily throughout the reporting period.The position also entails collaborating on strategic projects & insights, leveraging the information and data ecosystem.

Key Accountabilities

  • OTIF Delivery of BAU: Accountable for delivery of automated reports by the team ensuring timeliness and accuracy of information as per the agreed and signed SLAs. Responsible for adherence to Unilever Control and compliance policies.
  • Operations management: Review and ensure that the standard operating procedures (SOP) and Flow charts are being followed in the operational process, and that the issue logs maintained by the team are addressed.
  • Process and Report Simplification and Optimisation: Drive process improvements for simplification and standardization of information. Evaluate existing business reporting and find opportunities for improvements that enable stakeholders to make impactful data-backed decisions.
  • Team and Performance Management: Lead and develop a team comprising of 10+ members. Responsible for the performance management, capability development and appraisal of the direct reports.
  • Responsible for inducting new members of the team by putting them through the required familiarization and training programmes.

  • Stakeholder management: Ensure adherence to SLA and drive user satisfaction. Engage with global stakeholders through regular customer governance calls for BAU (Business as Usual) deliveries; including review of customer scorecards, understand customer feedback and incorporate them back in the BAU processes.
  • Transition of operational processes and change management: Co-ordinate the transition of operations/reports/processes from business users to the UniOps team with thorough review of the E2E operations, developing local capabilities and collaborating with various stakeholders for opportunities for automation/simplification.
  • Delivering on Productivity and Financial Targets for D&A – Information and Automation Factory

We are looking for someone with agility, experience in business analysis and an understanding of the corporate centre and markets with a passion for problem solving, ability to work under uncertainty and craft solutions in a collaborative manner. Someone who possesses strong business acumen and has a passion for high performance. We encourage you to apply if you meet 80% or more of what we’re looking for. Essential Experience

Preferable: 

  • 6 to 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Understanding of Financial and Accounting Concepts.
  • Expert in MS Office tools especially Advanced excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Prior experience in managing a large team.
  • Business acumen - Understanding of business drivers, processes and metrics for the finance, supply chain or market function.
  • Effective & clear communication skills including presentations to senior stakeholders.
  • Proficient understanding of SAP operational methodologies.
  • Knowledge of advanced data transformation/visualisation tools like – Python, Power BI would be added advantage.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Cross-functional KPIs, Commercials and P&L

Education:

  • Professional qualification in Finance/Supply chain/Marketing (Ex: Chartered Accountant, MBA – Finance/Marketing)

Desirable Experience

  • Experience in modelling multiple & complex data sets to run business analysis and generate insights.
  • Ability to think critically and examine all angles of a situation before making a recommendation.
  • Knowledge of design thinking and passion for problem solving and answering business questions with data and technology.
  • Exposure to data science capabilities like Machine Learning, Statistical modelling, Optimisation techniques and tools and Data science platform tools e.g., MS Azure, Databricks a plus
