Production is the key to success in the automotive industry and artificial intelligence is the key technology to ensure this success in the future. We ensure the enablement and realization of effective generative AI use cases and automation from the idea to the cross-plant rollout in the BMW Group's global production system.

What awaits you?

• You will lead and develop AI-based solutions for the digitalization of production.
• Together with our partners in the production network, you will design AI applications to analyze and automate process flows, to increase quality, for faster decision-making and accurate forecasts in production and in the indirect area of ​​production and logistics.
• Together we develop strategic and technological frameworks to implement concrete “leading-edge” applications in the industrial environment. A basic understanding of production processes as well as in-depth IT knowledge of AI, analytics and cloud architectures will help you with this.
• You work hand in hand with our internal and external partners and ensure that Gen-AI services become an integral part of the production domains and IT products.
• You support the evaluation of new Gen-AI methods and tools, identify possible areas of application and develop benefit statements.
• Furthermore, you enjoy working with data and are enthusiastic about bringing the latest technologies into an industrial environment from pilot applications to industrialization maturity, always keeping an eye on the efficiency potential for the company.

What you should bring along?

• University degree in computer science, business information technology, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mathematics or comparable qualification.
• Practical experience and methodical knowledge in the areas of NLP, LLMs.
• Experience in programming with Python, also in teams using clean code principles, test-driven development.
• Experience with agile methods (SaFE, Scrum, Kanban) and work in an agile, dynamic environment.
• Experience in computer vision is an advantage.
• Proficient in German and English.
