We, the BMW Group, offer you an interesting and varied internship in the field of quality management.

Our Quality Management Vehicle Dynamics department ensures quality from the idea to the end of the product life cycle in close cooperation with development, the supplier network, production and sales. The focus of activities is in the area of quality data analysis, technical risk management and the use of quality methods. You support us in the expansion of a consistent, methodical risk protection with a focus on FMEA. On this basis, you will work with us to develop new ways of using innovative IT tools to analyze quality, vehicle and production data for chassis scopes and vehicle dynamics control systems.

What awaits you?

• Support for the analysis and modeling of complex causal relationships, e.g. from customer complaints.
• Determination of new approaches for the use of causal relationships in data analyses.
• Pilot implementation of software/tools for quality data analysis using machine learning.
• Implementation of the first analysis demo models for later use in quality control and sales/service. 
• You will work with new IT tools for data analysis and FMEA.
• Participation in innovative product developments, getting to know our work processes and structures.
• Participation in the sustainable anchoring of knowledge gained to improve our technical solutions rounds off your exciting area of ​​responsibility.

what do you bring

• Studies in engineering, industrial engineering or a comparable course.
• Bachelor's degree in at least the fourth semester or master's degree.
• Confident use of Python (incl. Pandas / ideally Pyspark).
• Knowledge of machine learning. 
• Knowledge of common quality methods (Six Sigma, FMEA).
• Team and communication skills and structured work.
• Knowledge of German (at least B2) and English (at least B1).
