Join us on the journey of rewriting the rules. We are a research and development Think Tank within BMW’s Supply Chain. No day is the same. We work on the most difficult problems where the only limits are our creativity. Software will be the key point to ensure BMW supply chain runs flawlessly. Is it an iOS App? Is It a web-based UI? It's up to you to help us decide. You will develop PoC’s as we embrace industry 4.0. 

What awaits you?

  • You will present your results directly to BMW management and have contact with leaders across the business.  
  • Integrate software components and third-party programs and verify and deploy programs and systems.  
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software and create technical documentation for reference and reporting.  
  • As an intern in our group, we will tackle solutions in-house and find opportunities to create immediate value by building advanced solutions.  
  • The ability to dictate on what is the best way forward. You are a solutions architect. 
  • You will act as a consultant recommending the newest trends in Data science space and work with other consultants within and beyond BMW Group with an idea to learn from them and help build in-house competence.  

   

 What should you bring along?  

  • Currently enrolled full time in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited college or university studying Computer Science Engineering, Software Engineering, Informatics, Data Science. Master’s Degree preferred.  
  • Proven experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer or similar role.  
  • Experience in software development life cycles (SDLC).
  • Knowledge of diverse testing methods (black box, white box).
  • Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment. 
  • Knowledge of coding languages (e.g., C++, Java, JavaScript) and frameworks/systems (e.g., AngularJS, Git).  
  • The ability to build amazing front end applications in HTML, CSS, Javascript.
  • A must to work with RESTful api’s.
  • Not necessary but it would be an advantage if you can work with swift or kotlin.
  • Experience with agile software development is a plus, but not necessary.   
  • A link to your github would be awesome but not required.
  • A sharp Intellect and a creative mind.
