We, the BMW Group, offer you an exciting and varied internship in the field of digital shadows. 

Our team designs the global assembly systems for combustion engines and e-drives for the BMW Group. This includes both the design of new assembly processes and the integration of new products into existing assembly processes. We also evaluate new products and components and thus actively influence product design.

What awaits you?

• As part of your work as an intern, you will support our Control Technology, Process Simulation and Data Science department.
• You will help us with a current data analytics project.
• You are involved in the digital process mapping of the assembly lines. The aim here is to generate automated data aggregation and provide it as input for further planning processes.
• Participation in day-to-day operations rounds off your varied range of activities.

what do you bring

• Studies in mechanical engineering, computer science, business informatics, industrial engineering, mathematics, natural sciences or a comparable course.
• First practical experience primarily in dealing with the programming language Python.
• First practical experience in data analytics projects desirable.
• Fluent in German and good English skills.
• Programming knowledge in SQL desirable.
• Team and communication skills.
