Job Description

Position Summary/Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and challenge risk analytics practices across various groups within the company, primarily focused on Credit, Fraud and Seller risks, including use of machine learning and advanced analytics to detect and mitigate risks.
  • Develop and analyze reports and dashboards, looking at key risk indicators and relevant business metrics to uncover emerging trends and areas of opportunities.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify opportunities and gaps in existing strategies and controls.
  • Partner with financial risk oversight groups in conducting in-depth, thematic reviews of various products and risk functions, providing data insights and expertise around strategy development and analytics.
  • Work to ensure timely, complete, and accurate reporting of losses and risk performance indicators across different business lines and function areas.
  • Partner with broader second line of defense organization to develop and maintain a robust Risk Management Framework, including Risk Appetite Framework, and Issue and Incident Management. Develop and maintain Risk Policies and Procedures.

Requirements / Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative fields such as Math, Statistics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, etc.
  • 5+ years in risk (Fraud, Credit, Market, Liquidity, etc.) or similar highly quantitative roles
  • Has strong data skills (e.g., SQL) and is able to work with large amounts of complex data to extract relevant risk insights. Familiar with various data querying and reporting tools.
  • Manages, supports and/or executes several simultaneous projects with different levels of engagement and urgency.
  • Has a flexible and curious mindset. Understands the business needs and adapts risk controls accordingly.
  • Communicates complex problems in simple and effective manner.
  • Shares knowledge, supports and mentors others.
