PayPal’s Global Customer Portfolios Analytics team provides the connecting fiber between Marketing, Product, and Finance. You will develop an extensive knowledge of PayPal’s overall business and will work with large quantities of data to develop deep insights that shape the thinking of senior leaders and our cross-functional partners. You will become an expert in the customer funnel, understanding and explaining the drivers of acquisition, engagement, and churn across markets, segments, and product experiences, with a focus on customer churn across PayPal portfolios. You will lead a small team and interact with senior stakeholders, developing quantitative insights articulated through crisp storytelling to drive a step-change improvement in the organization’s understanding of drivers of churn and appropriate remediation strategies. Job Responsibilities ? Become an expert in the PayPal customer funnel (activation, engagement, churn, etc.); investigate and explain drivers of change ? Develop a deep understanding of PayPal’s overall business (e.g., products, geographies, business model, value prop) ? Identify key business levers, establish cause & effect, perform analyses, and communicate key findings to various stakeholders to facilitate data-driven decision making ? Discover new opportunities to grow and optimize the business through analytics, financial modeling, and business case development ? Build exec-facing insights, reports, and dashboards to track the progress of the business and its highest-priority initiatives ? Roll up your sleeves and work with large quantities of data using SQL and Excel, statistical programming languages like R or Python, and visualizing content through PowerPoint and reporting tools such as Tableau ? Understand what matters most and prioritize ruthlessly ? Be comfortable with ambiguity and frequent context-switching in a fast-paced environment ? Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal Basic Qualifications: ? 7-10 years of relevant work experience in analyzing large, multi-dimensional data sets and synthesizing data insights into actionable recommendations ? Data driven mindset, with a degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics or Economics; Masters or MBA preferred ? Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to influence cross-functional teams ? Demonstrated ability to effectively establish and maintain working relationships with all levels of the organization ? Fluent in SQL and Excel; experience with a statistical programming language (e.g., R, Python) and visualization tools such as Tableau or Qlikview ? Prior experience managing/mentoring a team
