Data Science Intern

This role has been designated as ‘Edge’, which means you will primarily work outside of an HPE office.

Intern responsibilities:

• Develop machine learning applications for telemetry data from wired and wireless networks
• Work with data scientists and networking domain experts
• Deliver proof of concept implementation using big data from customer networks
• Self-starter, eager to learn quickly

Two or more of the following desirable skills and expertise:

• Graduate-level knowledge of machine learning algorithms, for example: anomaly detection, clustering, time series analysis, event stream mining, hypothesis testing, causal inference, deep learning
• Coding skills (preferrably Python/Pyspark)
• Big data frameworks and pipelines
• Numerical optimization
• Interactive data visualization
• Data and signal processing (eg, time series modeling)
• Background in networking / wireless communication / network protocols / WiFi preferred

Education and Experience Required:

• Graduate student of Computer Science, Statistics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or another data-oriented degree program
