YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Remote Sensing Data Science Intern, are to: 

• lead or assist in several areas, such as, gather, curate, and quality control new data sources across R&D teams;
• Implement a modeling framework on existing datasets and expand to more extensive data and improve the underlying Computer Vision or AI/ML models;
• Identify how complex interactions with environmental lead to observed phenotypes in an efficient and interpretable manner.

Required Qualifications:

• A Doctor of Philosophy, either obtained a degree or in the process in a relevant field in data science, computer vision, computer science, math, or statistics;
• Proficiency in Python and R coding, data wrangling, and a solid understanding of AI/ML model basics, implementation, and tunning.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with areas such as time series analysis, predictive models, developing, training, and evaluating deep learning and machine learning models such as, SVM, random forest, gradient boosting, CNN, FCN, ResNet, GAN, and RNN/LSTM using PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras and related public deep learning frameworks implementing deep learning architectures for image classification, object detection and object segmentation, including YOLO, R CNN, RetinaNet, FPN and U Net; working with high dimensional data.

Entirely remote jobs that could be performed in Colorado: employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately $40.50 to $52.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
