Job Description
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Shape the strategy, portfolio, organization design for Data Science & Advanced Analytics across Japan Commercial Operations organizations. Drive digital, data and data science transformation to optimize our go-to-market strategy and commercial operations
- Build and grow a diverse team of experts with deep data science expertise and business acumen, to provide senior Commercial Management in regions and markets measurable insights built upon Advanced Analytics, including AI/Machine Learning models, and solutions. These insights will transform the way we communicate & serve our customers as well as provide a competitive advantage to Bayer by making better business decisions
- Lead the design, development, implementation and ongoing operation of key Digital Commercial Innovation program (i.e.: Customer Powerhouse) from Data Science perspective. Enable insights, real time activation and optimization of marketing and sales activities throughout customer journey
- Act as trusted advisors to JPN Business Unit Heads, contribute to the design and operation of new, digital and data marketing and sales organization
- Coach and guide data scientists to build customer micro- segmentation models that enable personalized engagement with the customer; identify commercial growth drivers that distill key commercial levers/activities that drive sales; design structures that aid marketing and sales teams to readily identify issues & opportunities; and develop Return of Investment (ROI) models that help busines leaders optimize resource allocation across brands & channels
WHO YOU ARE:
- University degree or above
- 10+ years of overall full-time work experience, of which 5+ years of relevant experience in healthcare (incl. pharma) or consumer goods commercial analytics (statistical modeling, ROI computations, marketing mix, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of Healthcare environment across multiple segments and therapeutic areas
- Record of professional success, demonstrated through above- average performance reviews, promotions, and relevant extracurricular activities/ engagements
- Strong analysis and synthesis skills, including experience in facilitating insight generation
- Strategic business acumen, focus on results, passion for keeping up with media and technology trends. Strong communication and presentation skills
- Expertise in business analytics (i.e.: ROI, driver analysis, etc.), data visualization (Tableau), applied math/statistics (probability, descriptive and inferential statistics, statistical/econometric modeling, Machine learning), programming languages (Python, R, SQL, Git) and solution architecture (ETL, data wrangling & pre-processing, work with remote machines, data bases and data lake infrastructure)
- Experience in implementation at large scale to optimize commercial operations, Return on Investment, sales force sizing & structure, customer experience personalization through programmatic media, CRM, search, e-commerce mobile apps
- People manager that has data science expertise - Commercial Analytics including return on investments, channel analytics and KPI Structure
- Fluent in English and prefer someone with Japanese skills but not a must
- Working experience in Japan
The working location is either in Tokyo or Osaka
