Job Description

About the Design Team - Design is one of the key teams at Disney+ Hotstar. We have 3 major areas of focus - Product Design, UX Research, and Systems & Standards. We are a closely-knit team of 20 people at the moment, who work across the spectrum of design from deriving insight from data, designing interfaces and prototypes, and testing with users to motion graphics and illustrations.

Reporting to- Group Design Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• You will lead and design new products, interfaces, and user experiences across multiple platforms
• You will work with Product Designers and managers to define and redefine the problem statement and come up with a project execution plan
• You will take problem statements and turn them into valuable and user-friendly solutions for our 150 Million-plus customers
• You will create concepts that meet the relevant needs of a diverse set of users from various backgrounds
• You will coordinate with the UXR team & data science team, to devise and design impactful metrics-driven and user-centric solutions
• You will collaborate with teams of engineers and product managers throughout the design process, from content to production, to create user flows & build user-interface mockups and prototypes

Skills & Attributes for Success

• A keen eye for good design, high level of craft, strong understanding of fundamental design disciplines (typography, composition, iconography, colour, layouts, etc.), impeccable visual and interaction finesse along with meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to confidently articulate UX design rationale and enjoy leading conversations with teams and key stakeholders
• Demonstrated experience in leading complex projects independently under stretched timelines

Preferred Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 4-6 years of relevant Product Design experience, and a proven; solid up-to-date technical understanding of best practices, developments, trends, limits & constraints of mobile and web software development
