The Disney Consumer Insight, Measurement & Analytics (CIMA) team is part of the Global Marketing & Sales organization within Disney Parks Experiences & Products (DPEP). CIMA influences decision making with integrated, objective, and actionable insights. Within CIMA, the Digital & Travel Operations Analytics (DTOA) team provides analysis across the primary modes used by Guests/clients for vacation discover, planning, transacting, and management to enable decision making and optimization.

Consumer Insight, Measurement & Analytics (CIMA) is part of the Global Marketing & Sales organization within Disney Parks Experiences & Products (DPEP). CIMA influences decision making with integrated, objective, and actionable insights. Within CIMA, the Digital & Travel Operations Analytics (DTOA) team provides analysis across the primary modes used by Guests/clients for vacation discovery, planning, transacting, and management to enable decision making and optimization.

The Senior Omni-Channel Analyst is a key data storyteller on the DTOA Analytics team. They will independently execute analytical projects from ideation to completion, to address complex business questions that span the digital and contact center ecosystems, developing insights and driving business impact.

To succeed in the role, you must possess a passion for creative problem solving and analytical delivery. You will have the opportunity to work with large data sets, cloud data environments, data science tools, and become a subject matter expert with data and source systems used to support the Walt Disney World business. In addition, you must possess the ability to interpret and understand the objectives of complex business questions, and the necessary skills to use large, disparate data sources to produce meaningful and actionable analysis that answers those questions. As a Senior Omni-Channel Analyst, you will support partners and clients with data architecture, queries, and processes to enable more efficient and consistent reporting and analysis in the organization. 

The position reports to the Director, Digital & Travel Operations Analytics, and does not have direct reports.

What you will do:

Data Analysis and Insights

  • Analyze and mine data to find opportunities within the time allotted.
  • QA data and processes to ensure accuracy.
  • Undertake proactive and reactive ad-hoc requests as needed.
  • Drive more efficient and sophisticated analytical insights.
  • Convey and highlight recommendations to ‘tell the story with data.
  • Make business recommendations based on the data findings.

Data Strategy

  • Work with business partners to determine needs and requirements.
  • Develop efficient and value-added queries / analyst tables for ongoing and ad hoc analysis.
  • Identify and document data requirements to support both ongoing and ad hoc analysis.
  • Learn new data sets from various lines of business, to develop an expertise in those data sets.

What you will need:

  • 5+ years of relational database experience
  • 5+ years of analytical experience
  • Ability to present and explain complex topics and subject matter to a wide range of audiences including executives.
  • Proficiency in SQL, R, and/or Python programming languages
  • Proficiency with business intelligence tools such as Tableau
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, complex, and changing business environment.
  • Ability to deliver work on-time ensuring attention to detail.
  • Team player mentality
  • Desire to learn and grow with an organization.

What will set you apart:

  • Experience with data warehouse platforms such as My SQL, SQL Server, Snowflake, Teradata
  • Ability to apply statistical rigor to analyses.
  • Knowledge of “big data” environments and tools
  • Experience with digital and contact center data and analytics
  • Advanced SQL skills
  • Experience with hospitality data and analytics
  • Experience with text mining and natural language processing
  • Interest in machine learning and artificial intelligence

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree in analytical/quantitative field – e.g. statistics, mathematics, accounting, engineering, etc.

Preferred Education:

Master’s degree in an analytical/quantitative field or equivalent work experience
