We are seeking a highly skilled data product manager to design, develop, and maintain the organization's long- and short-term strategic goals. You will have a proven background in finance, data modeling, data management, data governance, and data integration practices, enabling you to guide teams in delivering high-quality, performant, and robust data solutions. You will lead all aspects of assigned data initiatives and a studio of engineers who craft, build, and improve the framework and processes that handle consumer data, ensuring freshness, completeness, security, and privacy. You are expected to collaborate with multi-functional teams and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members.

You will sit in Data Products & Platform within the Technology & Digital organization for Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products. You will work closely with internal segment partners and technical authorities from across the company.

You Will:

  • Be hands on with delivery of data modeling, design and data contracts creation
  • Coordinate projects and partner engagement to enable delivery of data products that are discoverable, simple to understand and align with strict Governance, Risk and Compliance standards
  • Maintain healthy engagement with partners to ensure solutions are right-sized and strategically aligned to the overall data strategy
  • Work with key team members to develop data product strategies that align with financial goals and objectives
  • Analyze and work on gap analysis for management of financial data form various sources into a modernized platform
  • Develop and deliver on timelines, budgets, acceptance criteria, and service levels

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience delivering data solutions, including directly leading engineering resources and studios
  • Experience in data product management, with focus on financial products or solutions.
  • Strong data modelling design and documentation skills following the full delivery life cycle of business engagement through to conceptual, logical and physical data design and project delivery; supporting business units data, business intelligence and AI/ML needs
  • Deep technical expertise in data, platforms, and tools—including AWS, Snowflake, dbt, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CDK)
  • Experience with streaming data processing concepts including batch and real-time in-the-moment insight creation and distribution
  • Strong collaboration and partnership skills with the ability to interface and influence across the organization, including Executives
  • Build a strong culture of best practices and standards in data and engineering
  • Deep technical authority on data engineering delivery practices, able to speak to capabilities and processes to multiple levels of the organization
  • Experience working in the hospitality, travel, or entertainment industry

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience

Preferred Education:

  • Master’s degree and/or equivalent work experience

DISNEYTECH

The hiring range for this position is $129,560.00 to $191,180.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
