Job Description

About the role: We are seeking a talented and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an DevOps Engineer, you will work to develop and deploy best-in-class enterprise-wide AI Platforms with focus on the needs of the data science community to cover use cases ranging from experimentations to industrialization.

Your responsibilities include but not are limited to:

• Develops and maintain services with high production quality standards, components for automated Infrastructure Provisioning to ML Model training & inferencing, ML Model storage & management, Model Evaluation metrics on AWS Cloud.
• Works with peer product teams to build and maintain the Platform capabilities, including Various Data Science Tools like Databricks, Sagemaker, DataIKU, Jupyter Lab, RStudio etc.,
• Develops lifecycle management workflows for the Infrastructure provisioned and the Models to be deployed as a service and available for inferencing
• Works with various internal Cloud teams, Security teams and ML teams to deeply understand their business and technical needs and design ML solutions that make the best use of the ML Platform
• Partners with Solution Architect, Customer Success Experts and Product Development teams to accelerate customer adoption
• Works with the Product Manager in defining the product roadmap, backlog and release planning
• Ensure delivery of the Product, using Agile methodology, as per the agreed release plan. Ensures documentation of technical processes to be followed for onboarding are up to date
• Captures and shares best-practice knowledge amongst the Novartis solutions architecture community. Thought Leadership – Evangelize our product and share best practices through forums such as blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures etc.

Role Requirements

 Engineering or computer science degree with 8+ years’

• Hands-on experience working on DevOps tools, AWS Cloud, Python, Terraform etc.,Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, SQL
• Deep understanding of various AWS Services such as S3, ECS, EKS, Sagemaker, Lambda etc.Proficiency in deploying and managing containers using Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and BitBucket. Knowledge of AWS security services such as IAM, Security Groups, and Network ACLs
• Proficiency in using AWS CLI and AWS SDKs to automate infrastructure provisioning and management. Understanding of AWS CloudFormation & AWS CDK for infrastructure as code
• Familiarity with AWS Elastic Load Balancers and Auto Scaling groups for scalable and fault-tolerant systems Experience working with AWS monitoring and logging services such as CloudWatch and CloudTrail. Knowledge of AWS database services such as DynamoDB and Aurora
• Experience in developing fully automated self-service tools to support user-journeys. Well versed in Agile methodology. Experience in software shipping cycles (dev, test, prod)
• Experience in delivering products in highly regulated and process heavy organizations, Ability to learn quickly and adapt to different platforms as per the need of the project
