The US Oncology Strategic Data, Digital and Innovation (SDDI) organization is the Novartis engine for achieving best in class Healthcare provider (HCP) experience and transformative digital patient engagement. The Enterprise Analytics and Data Science group within SDDI is seeking a motivated leader who can enable the Hematology or Solid Tumor franchise to optimize marketing and field force investments. This role requires a combination of marketing mix model development, consulting, and predictive analytics skill sets to develop actionable insights for the brands. The leader will work with Brands, Finance, Franchise Analytics, Media, and Agency teams to determine design, develop, and deploy marketing mix models for optimizing promotional investments.

This opportunity is located at the Novartis East Hanover (NJ) site and will not have the ability to be located remotely. Relocation assistance may be available

What will you be responsible for?

  • Lead the development of brand specific marketing mix models across all promotional channels and tactics for Hematology or Solid Tumor franchise
  • Experience to Digital Multi touch attribution modeling.
  • Provide ongoing evaluation of promotional efforts using the models developed, experimental design, optimizer tools and dashboards.
  • Provide Insights and recommendations to brands, finance, franchise analytics and media teams to reallocate promotional investments to maximize value.
  • Collaborate actively with the franchise analytics, brand, and media teams to validate and update models as needed based on in-market events and business needs.
  • Develop and deliver executive quality presentations to a stakeholder audience comprising of senior brand and finance leadership.
  • Take ownership of marketing mix input data quality. Work with the data teams to augment data sources as needed.
  • Provide marketing effectiveness subject matter expertise through a proactive, unbossed approach to community of analytics professionals and direct reports.
  • Keep abreast of latest developments in marketing mix modeling and data science.
  • Take a hands-on role and deliver on highly visible projects
  • Bring a “can-do” attitude and teamwork, and inspire others on culture change

Minimum Requirements

What you will bring to the role?

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Math, Statistics, Economics, Marketing, or any quantitative/analytical field.
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Math, Statistics, Economics, or an Analytical field preferred
  • Hands on expertise in developing marketing mix models and digital multi touch attribution modeling
  • 10+ years of experience applying analytical techniques to answer marketing performance questions. Media Agency background preferred.
  • Expertise in R or Python. Advanced knowledge of querying languages. Exposure to Statistical Software packages such as SAS, SPSS or STATA
  • Previous experience in either pharma, biotech, healthcare, or consumer products.
  • Excellent PowerPoint and MS office skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, including open and productive relationships with peers and collaborate successfully across the organization
