This is a Lead role within the Center of Excellence of BPE, responsible for driving value to Novartis through building and driving standards& method, driving automation initiatives, creating awareness and embedding a culture of innovation across the organization and enabling the BPE and other teams to execute Hyper Automation and AI use cases.

Role would also include building enterprise governance, reusability of bots and codes, building & guiding teams on business value cases, building the community-based Build of HA & AI, leading enterprise governance calls and delivering the Hyper Automation & AI project.

The role would also include partnering with the larger BPE teams, IT automation teams, various vendors etc. It is an opportunity to make a significant difference to our organization.

Technical Aspects: -

  • In depth knowledge and hands on experience in Hyper Automation (HA and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for various processes.
  • Identifying opportunities to apply HA, AI models and algorithms to support business operations.
  • Good understanding of HA & AI infrastructure, Tuning, Testing, validating to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Experience on the Governance AI components of ML/AI to ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations.
  • Recognize future needs and drive strategies and improvement projects accordingly. Building and executing an HA/AI roadmap for businesses and functions.
  • Lead functional-technical discussions for Automation projects and have the capability to understand complex technical domains.
  • Experience working with new platforms, drive digital transformation initiatives.
  • Drive meetings with senior leaders with tangible decision-based outcomes; Collaborate with business, IT, internal and external partners, and vendors.
  • Take active part in the development of HA/AI based solutions and liaise with stakeholders to analyse business problems, clarify requirements, and define the scope of the solution.

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

Essential:

  • University degree. Further education and experience in Senior manager level experience in a consulting organization. 12 years’ experience leading significant business process, organizational change, operating model and/or process improvement consulting projects.
  • 2 years of experience in Hyper Automation (RPA) & AI based solution development. Experience on tools like S4 HANA BAS (Business Application Studio), M 365 Co Pilot, Azure AI, Python etc). Familiarity with data science terminologies.
  • Shared services, outsourcing, global sourcing, Lean & Six Sigma Certification (Master Black Belt). Project management, change management, agile. Must have worked in consulting teams in an equivalent internal consulting organization or a major consulting company.
  • Experience of regulated environments, particularly the impact in the pharmaceutical industry. Proven experience of working successfully in a collaborative team environment across different cultures, operating with and influencing others to achieve a common objective. Experience with working in an innovation-fueled environment to deliver a solution/product from ideation to deployment.
  • Lead functional-technical discussions and deliver value-driven, business-oriented solutions.

Desirable requirements:

  • Experience of regulated environments, particularly the impact in the pharmaceutical industry. Experience in the area of capability development or learning is a distinct advantage.
  • P&L management in a consulting business. Proficiency in Lean, quality management systems and operational excellence. Ability to lead a strong global team with an inspired, curious, unbossed and self-aware approach.
