Job Description

The Advertising SMB Growth team is responsible for driving adoption, retention and ultimately revenue growth for the eBay Advertising products portfolio among eBay Small and Medium sized Business sellers. We are a team of hardworking Advertising Growth Advisers located across North America, UK and Europe, we consult eBay sellers on their portfolio of Advertising products to help them succeed on eBay.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional business analytics that drive success for our team and operations excellence. Your primary focus will involve developing and providing practical insights derived from analytics to enhance Ads SMB Growth business performance. By gaining a deeper understanding of the key drivers and opportunities within our business, you will help drive revenue growth for eBay Ads products.

You will also be responsible for operations excellence within the Ads SMB Growth team, which include goal and targets setting at team and individual level, activities and performance tracking, book-of-business creation and development of self-service tools to help our Account Managers in prioritisation and optimisation.

As a strategic, tactical, and hands-on role, you will report directly to the global Head of Ads SMB Growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Business Decision making through data driven Actionable Insights
  • Work with Business Partners to scope analysis to answer key business questions – challenge their thinking and become a trusted business partner. Help the business prioritise analytical deliverables and manage their expectations.
  • Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand advertising opportunities for the business.
  • Create and track quarterly team and individual sales and operational targets.
  • Measure and interpret the impact of GTM and sales initiatives with sellers.
  • Develop and deliver the business story from the analysis and effectively communicate this to business and finance partners.
  • Providing regular updates on business performance to finance, cost, and promotional teams.
  • Insight Analytics including, cost estimation, forecasting, target setting, ad-hoc deep dives etc.
  • Identify, extract, and analyse relevant information from multiple data sources.
  • Lead business cadence and planning process

Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Business Insights Manager/Insight Analyst/COS preferably within advertising, e-commerce, media, digital marketing, or consultancy environment
  • Solid understanding of pay-per-click advertising platforms, preferably with experience in campaign optimisation and performance analysis.
  • Proven ability in clearly defining a problem, collating the required information, analysing the results, and presenting findings and recommendations.
  • Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance.
  • Strong data modelling skills with commercial business acumen
  • Advanced level skills in SQL and Tableau and Excel are a must.
  • Experience of working with big data, including data extraction & optimisation techniques, and reporting/visualisation, using data visualisation tools
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • International travel required as needed
