Primary Job Responsibilities
Play a leading role in the design and implementation of the ML-based systems of eBay-SEO. You will be responsible for forming end-to-end solutions, and accordingly will be familiar with many of the components developed by the team. You will be tackling the most challenging requirements around scalability, availability and big data processing.
Responsibilities will include:
- Take ownership and help drive the team and group ML-based efforts.
- Work with scientists and engineers to explore novel POC solutions for data-based problems, investigate design approaches, prototype new technologies, and evaluate technical feasibility.
- Design and implement the testing framework and CI/CD process for the system.
- Work in an agile environment, constantly striving to increase the team productivity and velocity.
Required Skills
- Thorough understanding of ML and experience in deployment to production.
- Proven ability of leading and delivering complex projects with multiple team dependencies.
- Deep hand-on knowledge of Java application development, testing and frameworks.
- Significant experience in design and development of Internet-scale systems with massive amounts of data.
- Experience with Big Data environments - Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, DWH, Analytical databases etc.
- Industry experience with standard AI and ML techniques, NLU and scientific thinking.
- Strong knowledge of micro-services architecture.
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes.
- BSc/MSc in computer science/software engineering or other relevant education.
- Advantage: Airflow/Azkaban, sklearn, tensorflow, pytorch, MLlib, MLeap.
