Primary Job Responsibilities
We are looking for a Senior big data developer who will develop and deploy ML-based systems of eBay-Buyer experience. The ideal candidate has a fair understanding of Machine Learning space, data pipelines, and building scalable backend applications. You will collaborate with team fellow developers and data scientists in Israel and abroad, creating offline services using big data techniques, developing algorithms for calculating online features and deploying online services for inference.
Responsibilities will include:
- Work with data scientists on state of the art ML models.
- Develop, test and deploy ML-based services.
- Create an automated framework in order to ease the overhead of model retraining and deployment.
- Implement testing framework and CI/CD process for the system.
- Work in an agile environment, constantly striving to increase productivity and velocity.
- Use best practices to write clean, maintainable code for the project, and create a high performant delightful experience for customers
- Required Skills
- 6+ years of software design and relevant experience
- Expertise with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Flink, and Kafka
- Expertise in building large scale distributed systems and using open source technologies
- Deep Hands-on experience in Java, Web technologies, RESTful Services, Design Patterns, Databases, NoSql and Streaming technologies
- Proven foundation in computer science fundamentals
- Excellent knowledge in practicing OOAD, architectural and design patterns, open source platforms, frameworks, technologies and software engineering methodologies
- Collaborative, open to learning from other team members and sharing your knowledge with them.
- Proactive, initiator - knowing how to prioritize and how to make things happen.
- BSc/MSc in computer science/software engineering or other relevant education.
- Advantage: Industry experience with standard AI/ML techniques and deployment to production
- Advantage: Python, Scala, Airflow/Azkaban, sklearn, tensorflow, pytorch, MLlib
