What you’ll do

Position title: SAP iXp Intern - ML Engineer

Location: Toronto

Expected start date and end date: July 2023 - March 2024

As an SAP CXII iXp Intern - ML Engineer, your role will be central to several innovative eCommerce projects. You'll be part of our dynamic team, working on projects like our Styling Assistant, an AI-powered tool that uses deep learning algorithms to provide users with personalized fashion suggestions and overlay them on your avatar using Augmented Reality. Further, you will also play a vital role in our Intelligent Catalog Management system, maximizing its utility by refining the feature set for better filtering, inventory management, and crafting intelligent recommendations. With tools like Maximus, our productivity assistant, you'll work on improving and deploying ML models to efficiently summarize data, identify action items, and streamline scheduling tasks based on user's meetings and emails. Your contribution will also extend to our newly upgraded AI services for the Customer Data Cloud, ensuring high-throughput and low-latency intrusion detection services. You will help optimize, and test, our Intelligent Search Services, Configure Price Quote tools, and other AI services for efficient product recommendation and replenishment suggestions. The work will also include MLOps, testing, and evaluation of these systems. In essence, your expertise as an ML Engineer will be crucial in driving efficiency, personalization, and intelligence in our eCommerce solutions.

As an SAP CXII iXp Intern - ML Engineer, your work will directly enhance the efficacy and efficiency of our eCommerce solutions, leading to improved personalization and customer experiences. This, in turn, will drive customer engagement, increase sales, and ultimately boost business growth. Your expertise will also contribute to enhanced operational efficiency and decision-making, providing a competitive edge in the rapidly evolving eCommerce landscape.

What you bring

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate program in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Strong foundational knowledge in Machine Learning.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with Azure cloud platform.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Experience with test-driven development.
• Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous delivery tools, such as Jenkins and ArgoCD.
