Job Description

This job belongs to the Application Innovation Service organization under SAP. AIS supports the installed base of SAP products which are in mass shipment. AIS is the custodian of codebase of such products. AIS protects the maintenance revenue of SAP by providing highly efficient maintenance support to all SAP customers and is thus valued as trusted advisor by SAP customers for their business

• Developing/Coding AI/ML based applications.
• Maintenance of AL/ML application.
• Experience with Cloud / Micro service Architecture
• Driving new research with AI/ML in SAP Support.
• Mentoring / Coaching colleagues.
• Support in building models and algorithms.
• Contribute to end-to-end AI/ML project, not restrictive to only algorithms.
• Contributing into multiple projects.
• Assist with data R&D work as delegated by senior level colleague
• Meets project deadlines for accountable deliverables and anticipates delays or foreseeable barriers to progress, escalating issues when necessary
• Key Tasks
• Develop and maintain AI/ML based application which helps us in building and executing Proactive Maintenance.
• Work closely with AIS Team.
• Collaboration across SAP Support teams.
• Timely delivering of high-quality software.
• Driving AI/ML projects.
• Analyze maintenance data and propose new ideas/use-cases to help SAP Support.
• Support in building models and algorithms
• Conducts due diligence of quality for prototypes and tools in beta and resolves reoccurring complex issues and bugs
• Contributing into multiple projects.
• Mentoring / Coaching colleagues.

Experience & Language Requirements

• Proficiency in the Python programming language.
• Proficiency in Natural Language Processing.
• Experience in AI/ML as well as of the software architecture in cloud or microservices.
• Proficient with version control using Git (for example, contributing via pull requests)
• Ability to implement machine learning based intelligent software within a given software architecture in accordance with the SAP process and maintenance strategy.
• Knowledge of software development and modeling tools
• Experience in developing and implementing data science techniques (predictive, prescriptive, ML etc.)
• Ability to implement new functional requirements according to the SAP product standards (both within the SAP standard and regarding customer specific requirements)
• Communication skills with the ability to communicate appropriately with customers in difficult situations
• Analytical, problem-solving skills
• Ability to bring forth new ideas and drive them to execution.
• Focus on pragmatic and effective solutions
• Good team player
