The Colleague Services and Digital Capabilities (CSDC) organization at American Express plays a critical role in in providing the best-in-class services, capabilities, data and insights that enable a great colleague experience. The organization builds and evolves essential foundational and operational products and services to enable Colleague Experience Group (CEG) and the business. The CSDC organization manages the ecosystem of CEG platforms, applications, third party partners, colleague insights and reporting, and colleague-related risk, compliance, and governance.
Colleague Insights (CI) is a dynamic and growing team. The demand for data, self-service analytical dashboards, and insights is more important than ever to shape strategy and decisions at American Express. As a Manager of Data Science for Colleague Insights, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of data and insights, leading the way for our partners to use advanced analytics and data science to answer complex colleague -related business questions. You will use statistical and machine learning techniques to extract insights from large datasets, data exploration and analysis, make clear and sound recommendations across a range of analytic and data science solutions to answer business problems.
We're seeking an experienced professional with strong quantitative skills, in-depth business knowledge, and the ability to translate data insights into compelling narratives for non-technical audiences. As the Data Science Manager of the Colleague Insights Team, you'll address key business areas such as talent mobility, employee retention, hiring, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. You'll work with cross-functional teams to foster innovation and enhance performance.
An ideal candidate is highly analytical, technically proficient, intellectually curious, and an effective team player and communicator. You'll identify opportunities to boost colleague engagement and loyalty through clear, consistent analysis and insights. You will translate business requirements into meaningful analysis and insights, developing dashboards or reports to support initiatives. Communicating these insights to senior leaders effectively, both verbally and in writing, is a key expectation.
Your responsibilities also include identifying opportunities to foster colleague engagement and loyalty by delivering clear, consistent analysis and insights. As a strategic thinker, you’ll be required to translate business requirements into meaningful analysis and insights, partnering with colleagues to create dashboards and/or reports to support colleague initiatives and strategies.
