Job Description

Global Supply Management (GSM) is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and contracting with the right suppliers to meet business needs and enable the enterprise to pay for the goods and services procured from its suppliers and partners (co-brand, corporate card clients, membership rewards, service establishment rebates and travel & lifestyle). Besides providing third party risk management, it is also responsible for managing the Travel and Entertainment (T&E) program for the enterprise.

GSM Analytics & Automation Team Overview:

The Global Supply Management Analytics & Automation team provides data-driven insights to maximize savings, power strategic vendor decisions, manage risk, optimize efficiency, improve service quality, and deliver transparency. The team is also responsible for building new technology capabilities and automation though RPA / Analytical tools/ AI.

Key Responsibility:

  • Generate business insights using data analytics and information visualization methods to answer business problems.
  • Develop business solutions to exploit Analytics in order to move towards data-driven innovation in alignment with business priorities and key targets.
  • Validate, interpret and present data findings to both an expert and non-expert audience.
  • Work closely with the functional processes for conceptualization and design.
  • Evaluate external ideas, solutions, products and technologies that could be used to expand Open-Source capabilities.
  • Apply unique skills and interests to develop new opportunity domains. Deliver high quality and accurate results in a timely manner.
  • Perform feasibility study to validate the functional specification and translate them into technical specification & solution.
  • Analyze the spend/ supplier’s data to identify meaningful insights
  • Communicate and present results to AXP customers and senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in a relevant/quantitative field

Skills & Experience:

  • Procurement Process and Business Knowledge
  • 4-5 Years of experience with prior experience in Data analytics and BI tools
  • Strong knowledge of Python, Alteryx, SQL/ HQL
  • Knowledge of Tableau capabilities – Building dashboard, ASK data, Explain Data etc.
  • Subject Matter Expert to manage enterprise level projects, capabilities to automate and enhance current reporting structure
  • Effective in operating autonomously and making decisions in situations of ambiguity and time pressure
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Advance Excel, Power point.
  • Excellent oral, written and computer communication skills with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Candidate should open to learn new open-source technologies and language
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast paced, customer-focused, collaborative environment. Must be able to work hands-on with minimal supervision or assistance.
