Accertify’s Decision Sciences team is looking for a skilled Senior Data Scientist/ ML Engineer with a focus on building cutting-edge fraud detection models and supporting the MLOps pipeline. This individual will use their ML development and strong analytical experience to help build and enhance Accertify’s industry-leading tools with a focus on interacting with our large datasets. Additionally, this individual will play a leading role in prototyping to deploying models in production using Accertify’s MLOps capability. At the senior manager level, the employee typically does not have a people leadership role but is often viewed as a subject matter expert and/or mentor to managers and analysts. Possesses the expertise, knowledge and seasoning to work on projects of high sensitivity or importance. Works relatively independently and is responsible for driving consequential decisions. In this role, you will have an excellent career path and numerous opportunities for both professional and personal growth in an intellectually stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with other Data Scientists and Data Engineers to develop, test, maintain and deploy both Supervised and Unsupervised ML models
  • Building strong relationships with clients, developing solutions for client needs in and organized and knowledgeable manner, delivering clear requests for information and delivering high quality solutions in a timely manner
  • Participate in peer design, code reviews and version control in both data and model; promote full-stack data science solutions using our MLOps platform
  • Elevate the performance of colleagues through training, mentoring, and promoting best practices

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s or PhD degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research or any other highly quantitative field with at least five (5) years of relevant professional experience. The candidate should demonstrate a consistent track record of academic excellence. 
  • Thorough understanding in statistics and Machine Learning concepts such as Boosting/ Deep Learning frameworks, Model Selection criteria, A/B Testing, Causal Inference, Anomaly Detection etc.
  • Advanced programming skills and aptitude; Proficiency in Python, Spark, SQL

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to work with large datasets using pandas, DASK, Spark dataframes etc.
  • Experience in technologies such as XgBoost, LightGBM, PyTorch, Tensorflow, SHAP, Hyperopt, MLFlow, MLlib
  • Experience in MLOps and deploying models for real-time-decisioning is a plus
