The Data, Insights, Science and Optimization (DISCO) team is looking for an full-stack Analytics Lead who will be at the forefront of building our understanding of how users engage with music and content across the industry and our platform. You will be responsible for translating data insights into actionable results that drive action and meaningful outcomes.

Key job responsibilities

You will work closely with the marketing, merchandising, product, and development teams to solve unique problems and find answers to questions that require tenacious problem solving and creativity.

What You'll Do:
- Work directly with the Ubiquity team to unlock insights on our cross-device platform experiences.
- Collaborate with product management and engineering to identify and scope the analysis of most common customer behavioral questions.
- Proactively develop new metrics and conduct studies to quantify and understand customer behavior across devices/experiences.
- Define and develop experiments to identify the most effective approaches for reaching, converting, and retaining customers.
- Partner with our Data Engineering team to enhance data infrastructure, data availability, and broad access to customer insights
- Report customer, product, and marketing insights and trends to senior leadership and the broader domain teams
- Join a large and growing BI/Science team to leverage extensive music listening data, gaining a better understanding of customers, and contributing to product and marketing strategy.
- Quickly build a thorough understanding of the Digital Music industry, including its seasonality and global business trends, and continually monitor the impact of important industry developments.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience writing complex SQL queries
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $79,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
