You will identify data requirements, build methodology and tools that are statistically grounded. You will develop and produce actionable insights that allows our staffing teams to uncover opportunities to improve hiring funnel conversions. You will provide data-driven solutions that increase the efficiency of our hiring pipeline and improve candidate experience.

Key job responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • As a Data Scientist (DS) in Funnel Science in Workforce Intelligence, you will do causal data science, build predictive models, conduct simulations, create visualizations, and influence data science practice across the organization.
  • Provide insights by analyzing historical data from databases (e.g., Redshift).
  • Create experiments and prototype implementations of new learning algorithms and prediction techniques.
  • Research and build machine learning model that improve hiring funnel efficiency at scale.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years experience conducting end-to-end causal data science (using causal framework to build prediction systems) in an applied setting.
  • Experience in causal modeling (e.g., graphical models, causal Bayesian network, potential outcomes, A/B testing, experiments, quasi-experiments) and data science workflows (e.g., regularized regression, random forest, LightGBM); obtained from previous work experience or through a Master’s degree or higher (e.g., Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related analytical disciplines).
  • Advanced level of proficiency in SQL and in one scripting language (e.g., R, Python).
  • Experience applying various machine learning techniques for forecasting, and understanding the key parameters that affect their performance
  • Project Management experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with applying systems dynamics principles, computational modeling, and system simulation.
  • Experience building visualizations to communicate findings.
  • Experience with AWS Machine Learning workflows (e.g., SageMaker).
  • Experience with hosting production quality code in AWS infrastructure.
  • Experience with applying data science in HR, Marketing, Advertising, or the social and behavioral sciences.
  • Front-end development experience, creating prototypes, and interactive visualization.
  • Experience with multi-armed bandits, Lifetime Value, Self-learning systems, optimization techniques and algorithms, and computational social science.
  • Experience consulting with senior management and executives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work on a diverse team or with a diverse range of coworkers.
