HPB BI team owns private brand data warehouse and manages data clusters and dashboards that serve business needs of data inquiries and reporting. At this role, you will lead multiple projects and focus on building and scaling insights generation, reporting and facilitating high bandwidth conversations across teams and stakeholders. You will dedicate your time and effort to provide deep insights that drive business actions for the success of the entire organization. Hence, we are looking for candidates with a passion for data, analytics, insights and technology who long for broad impact across one of the biggest e-commerce businesses in the world.

A successful candidate will have a strong understanding of different business and the underlying analytics, and the ability to translate business requirements into analysis, collect and analyze data, and make recommendations back to the business. This person should continue to learn new systems, tools, and industry best practices to help design new studies and build new tools that help our team automate, and accelerate analytics.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Finance, Statistics or a related discipline
  • 5+ years hands-on analytics work experience, with proven quantitative orientation
  • Experience in leading complex large scale analytical solution implementation
  • Advanced skills in SQL, ETL, and Data Warehouse solutions
  • Fluency with statistical analytics and programing languages such as Python, R, etc.
  • Experience in creating dashboards using data visualization tools such as Tableau, etc.
  • Proven ability to structure complex analysis and perform the analysis to drive insights
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize workload and roadmaps
  • Be self-driven, and show ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete or dirty data
  • Ability to work in a team environment that promotes collaboration

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree or higher in Statistics, Data Science, or an equivalent quantitative field
  • 7+ years of industry experience working as a BIE or related specialty
  • Global Sourcing and Supply Chain experience a plus
  • Understanding of data warehousing and data modeling
  • Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe technical designs, and strategy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
