Job Description

Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) is a the global middle-mile transportation organization within Amazon. As part of the transportation, we ship several millions of packages every year to customer on time. In order to do that, the Data Technology and Products (DTP) team is the data engine behind the successful European operations, providing the data backbone in close to real time and batch fashion on large-scale cloud architectures.

Our joint challenge would be to manage the huge amount of data that is produced every second, process it with a minimum lag, and vend it out in an easy consumable way.

In this role you will:

• Be an individual contributor that is not afraid to challenge the norms and innovate.
• Help establish the long-term success strategy for managing data lakes and streaming architectures
• Develop relationships with internal and external partner teams to enrich our collection of data.
• Collaborate with peers, ensuring your strategies align with partner development and business teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field
• Experience with SQL
• Experience in data modeling, ETL, and Data Warehousing
• Basic scripting knowledge, control structures and algorithms
• The willingness to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is occurring and ambiguity is the norm.
• Good communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with AWS technologies such as Redshift, RDS, EMR, etc.
• Experience of Python scripting (or other platform-agnostic language)
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with ability to balance competing priorities.
