Job summary

AWS is hiring a Senior Product Manager to lead the product roadmap for the AWS Amplify Data that includes the data experience across Studio, CLI, and the Libraries. AWS Amplify offers an end-to-end developer experience for front-end developers to build and deploy apps on AWS. Amplify is used by countless of app developers to deliver rich cloud-enabled experiences by integrating a broad range of AWS services including voice & chat capabilities, machine learning, user engagement, analytics, push notifications, cloud storage, NoSQL databases, serverless business logic, and more.

We continually engage our customers (developers!) and have identified exciting new initiatives to make it easier for developers to add next generation features and experiences to their apps. This is a unique opportunity to join a team that is working to change the mobile and front-end web development industry; we aim to enable millions of app users to enrich their experience with everyday mobile & web experiences that become smarter over time, help them live a healthier lifestyle, and have closer and more meaningful interactions with services providers, public services, and their workplaces.

As the Senior Product Manager for AWS Amplify, you will:

  • Understand our customers (developers!) inside and out via regular calls, visits, customer briefings, customer advisory board, data analysis, and travel to conferences, summits and customer sites.
  • Develop the product strategy and vision and translate it into creative, high quality, simple features
  • Make the business decisions that grow the adoption and usage of the Amplify Framework and accelerate the growth of our business. Target the right customers, and focus our investments in the right areas.
  • Work closely with the engineering teams to design, schedule and deliver in an agile environment
  • Launch new features and make sure our sales, marketing, and PR teams are telling the most compelling story
  • Invent on behalf of customers in a hot app development space for AWS.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years of product management experience targeting technical audiences, with a passion for building new technology
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Knowledge of or experience developing in JavaScript or cross-platform frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js, Angular, React Native, Flutter).
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss deep technical concepts, schedule tradeoffs and opportunistic new ideas with technical employees.
  • Success delivering products/services in a startup, or other fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Experience analyzing and presenting data
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Experience defining and building products from scratch
