Key Responsibilities

  • Software developer for Pharmacokinetic Analysis, Modelling, and Simulation (PAMS) area for all their data science related applications.
  • Must work closely with scientists in the data science group and be proficient with PK NCA tools such as (Integral, Phoenix, PK Assist, WinNonLin, NLME, R/R Studio/R Shiny, Python, SAS, SQL, Oracle, Unix shell scripting etc.
  • Work with other IT teams as needed.
  • Work closely with scientists and help troubleshoot their PK analysis workflows.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Requires knowledge of a range of technologies, architectures, and solutions supporting modeling, simulation within Data Science area of Clinical Pharmacology & Pharmacometrics (CP&P) within Research and Early development domain for a Pharma company. This is typically gained through a university degree and 4-6 years of experience. Demonstrates expertise in the technical deliverables and support for the various tools and platforms in CP&P data science area. Actively participates in trouble-shooting of routine problems. Makes decisions that impact own work and other groups/teams. Works under minimal supervision. May act as a technical point of contact. Acts as a functional mentor to more junior team members. May represent team or function on program or project teams.
  • Good knowledge and experience with the various PK NCA tools and platforms such as (Phoenix, PK Assist, WinNonLin, NLME) is highly desirable. Nice to have experience with R/R Studio/R Shiny, Python, SAS etc. for building and maintaining reports based on output of NCA on clinical and pre-clinical studies. Good to have experience with SQL, Oracle, unix shell scripting. Must have experience working on validated applications. Good to have knowledge of a PAAS/SAAS solution such as Integral, or similar PK NCA platforms. Desirable to know Watson LIMS data pipeline.
  • Does not have any supervisory responsibility, however, may act as a functional mentor to more junior team members.
  • Makes decisions while understanding the team's work and how it fits into the broader enterprise. May need support from within the team or outside the team when working on broader or complex topics in understanding environment.​
  • Identifies opportunities to improve and grow, balancing performance feedback and career development​
  • Applies a continuous improvement mindset in enhancing efficiency, quality and effectiveness or their work outputs.​
  • Displays understanding of performance metrics driving the team's goals and questions the external environment and its' implication on the goals and strategies. ​Able to review multiple factors of data and can effectively organize information to compare and assess short and long-term implications. Can create a well-developed recommendation and sound actions.​
