We are looking for you to join our team as a Principal Software Engineer or Senior Principal Software Engineer for a full-time remote opportunity. As a Principal Software Engineer or Senior Principal Software Engineer at Northrop Grumman, you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. What You’ll Get To Do:

Join our team to work on a data fusion and AI/ML (Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning) to develop geolocation and tracking systems. We are focusing on architecture and development of a geolocation fusion engine for interferometry, RF ranging, and other sensor types. Our small but highly energized Agile Scrum team has a significant software effort within a Research & Development environment. This remote opportunity may be filled as a Principal Software Engineer or Senior Principal Software Engineer.

Basic Qualifications for a Principal Software Engineer:

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years related years of experience. An additional 4 years of experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
• Experienced developer in Python and adept of all phases of software development
• Experienced with git and/or other version control systems
• Development in Docker containers or similar
• US Citizenship is required in order to obtain and maintain security clearance

Basic Qualifications for a Senior Principal Software Engineer:

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 9 years related years of experience. An additional 4 years of experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
• Experienced developer in Python and adept of all phases of software development
• Experienced with git and/or other version control systems
• Development in Docker containers or similar
• US Citizenship is required in order to obtain and maintain security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• STEM degree preferred, such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, etc
• AI/ML (Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning) experience
• Google protobuf experience
• Experience with C/C++ and/or Java
• Experience with BitBucket, JIRA, Jenkins, Confluence, and other Atlassian tools
• Practical experience in an Agile / Dev*Ops environment 
• SIGINT Domain knowledge or RADAR systems experience
• Current active SECRET security clearance 

Salary Range: $92,200 USD - $138,400 USD

Salary Range 2: $114,300 USD - $171,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
