Northrop Grumman Defense Systems has an opening for a Principal Data Insight Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Warner Robins, Georgia.

The selected candidate will develop and implement data processing and visualization products supporting various aerospace systems programs. This position will require the ability to generate actionable knowledge from data. The selected candidate will possess the analytical and problem solving skills necessary for quickly developing recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative data from many different types of sources.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports multiple business areas and programs by developing visibility reports and tools
  • Analyzes/interprets data and converts it to meaningful information for the business
  • Explores/develops new technologies or approaches to data analysis and interpretation
  • Creates ad hoc reports based on unique business needs

The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. Candidate must be comfortable in an open working environment and be able to collaborate closely with data engineers, database architects, logistics analysts and other business end users.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have one of the following:
    • Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and a minimum of 6 years of data analysis experience
    • Master’s degree in a STEM discipline with a minimum of 4 year of data analysis experience
    • 10 years additional years of related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Must be able to work on-site in Warner Robins, Georgia

    Must possess the following:
  • Strong mathematical skills to help collect, measure, organize and analyze data
  • Technical proficiency regarding database design development, data models, techniques for data mining, and segmentation
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in SQL, Excel and PowerPoint


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with modern web development stack (e.g. ASP.NET, MVC, JavaScript frameworks, CSS)
  • Experience with SharePoint (workflows, web part pages, custom script [Angular JavaScript])
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint)
  • Experience writing and managing queries in SQL and Oracle databases
  • Experience with visual reporting software (such as Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or other)
  • Proven working experience developing analytical data solutions or tools
  • Knowledge of manufacturing lifecycle management tools such as MRO, GOLDesp, and/or MES

Salary Range: $79,700 USD - $119,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
