We are looking for you to join our team as a Staff AI/ML Software Engineer based out of McClellan, CA in the Sacramento area or may consider another Northrop Grumman facility with SCIF access. Note, opportunity for some REMOTE work may be available. As a Staff AI/ML Software Engineer at Northrop Grumman you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. What You’ll get to Do:

Your role will be to support the capture and execution of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) research programs in a growing business area within our organization. You will support our AI/ML department manager to develop and win new business and you will lead a team of AI/ML engineers as we define possible in this exciting new frontier. The successful candidate will be collaborative, open, transparent, and team-oriented with a focus on team empowerment & shared responsibility, flexibility, continuous learning, and a culture of automation.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 14 years related years of experience. An additional 4 years of experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
• Extensive experience with multiple AI/ML techniques and tools, such as, OpenAI Gym, Reinforcement Learning, and Convolutional Neural Networks, Ontologies, Knowledge Graphs
• Familiarity with RF Machine Learning (using AI/ML to process the RF environment)
• Experienced in all phases of software development
• US Citizenship is required in order to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• STEM degree preferred, such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, etc
• Experience with C/C++ and/or Java
• Experience with BitBucket, JIRA, Jenkins, Confluence, and other Atlassian tools
• Practical experience in an Agile / Dev*Ops environment 
• General SIGINT Domain knowledge or RF systems experience
• Current active Top Secret/SCI security clearance 

Salary Range: $188,800 USD - $283,200 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
