Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Sr Principal Wing Data Simulator Software Engineer. This position will be located in Colorado Springs, CO or Bellevue, NE and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program.

What You’ll Get To Do:

Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:

The Wing Data Simulator project is developing a complex Software/Hardware modeling and simulation capability that will be used to test the GBSD weapon system. The successful applicant will develop C++ software in a dynamic environment using the Agile (Scrum) framework. Experience developing software in the early stages of a project is useful but not required. Experience using design patterns early in projects to develop a strong foundation for the entire product lifecycle is suggested. The project heavily leverages CI/CD and automated test concepts, so DevSecOps experience is useful. Experience with Linux OS is required. Experience with code packaging and configuration management a plus. Experience with implementing industry standard continuous delivery processes, techniques, and tools (including GitLab). Experience with databases and data logging concepts suggested. As a senior developer, this position includes mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.

Job Qualifications:

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

• 9 years with Bachelors in Science; 7 years with Masters, 4 Years with PhD
• US Citizenship with a current DoD Secret clearance (adjudicated within the past 5 years) with ability to obtain/retain TS clearance and PAR within 365 days from submission
• Experience with embedded systems
• Strong C++ development skills
• Experience with real-time operating systems
• Experience with secure software development such as DO-178C compliant or similar
• Experience with Agile development
• Experience with Atlassian tool suite
• Experience with software development using a DevOps pipeline

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

One or more of the following:

• Experience with Hardware/Software interface design
• Experience with software and hardware certification/accreditation
• Experience with CMake and CPack

Salary Range: $108,600 USD - $171,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
