Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal Data Scientist. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Data Scientist 
Creates data mining architectures/models/protocols, statistical reporting, and data analysis methodologies to identify trends in large data sets. Requires strong statistical and data visualization skills.

Requires strong statistical and data visualization skills.Developing detailed models of the high performance computer system capable of accurately projecting performance.

Ensure data integrity and system availability
Decomposition of user requirements into logical functions/components
 

Basic Qualifications:

Experience with Agile Software Development

Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 5 years.

Ability to obtain special access to programs

5 Years of Experience with Bachelors; 3 Years with Masters; or 0 Years with PhD or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree

Proficiency in Python, C#, SQL, SSIS, and data visualization tools

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in responsive UI/UX design
Experience with profiling/debugging
Experience with web analytics and load testing software (e.g. Matomo)
Experience with load testing software (e.g. Locust)
Experience with Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence)

Salary Range: $96,400 USD - $144,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
