Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Data Scientist to join the Strategic Deterrence Systems Division (SDS) Digital Transformation Team. This position is located Roy, UT.

• Perform data science tasking to explore data sources, develop features, develop and refine models, document and communicate findings.
• Communicate advanced concepts and information in an understandable manner for audiences of varying levels of mathematical competency.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of technology trends. 
• Properly document code, artifact description, implementation, and use case.
• Be an eager and fast learner.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline and 2 years of experience; 0 years with Master’s Degree
• Programming experience (Python, R, or Node.js preferred)
• Experience manipulating data (pandas, or tidyverse preferred)
• US Citizen able to obtain DoD Secret clearance

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

• A current DoD Secret clearance or higher
• Familiarity with any of the following: Tensorflow, Keras, PyTorch, NLTK, Transformers (BERT), PyStan, PyMC3, RStan, BRMS, Scikit-learn, SciPy
• Familiarity with SQL, Graph, NoSQL, Neo4J
• Possesses a scientific mindset with an eagerness to explore and break new ground.

Salary Range: $78,300 USD - $117,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
