Job Description

During the internship, you will support new initiatives in:

• Demand forecasting of pharmaceuticals leveraging statistical models
• Data visualization to gather new insights
• Evaluation of new internal/external data sets and correlation analysis for improved predictions
• Assessment of new demand modeling platforms and automation opportunities for selected data cleaning & preparation processes
• Reviewing new machine learning models (regression/classification)
• Improving workflows designed for exception management in business analyst & data scientist interactions

A placement year in DSPF team provides excellent experience and practical use of supply chain information systems, and demand planning tools to better understand data. Our new DSPF team has a strong interest in pushing the boundaries of how we use our established systems, and good at experimenting emerging data modelling/machine learning applications.

You will be assigned one or more projects based on needs at the time of joining our fast-moving department and will develop both strong team working and technical skills. It is expected that you will provide creative input and direction into your work and present your progress and achievements to both technical and non-technical audiences throughout your placement.

Our requirements:

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Econometrics, or related fields, graduating
• Relevant experience and strong knowledge in at least one of the following fields: statistics, data mining, machine learning, statistics, operations research, econometrics, natural language processing, and/ or information retrieval.
• A hunger for solving complex, difficult big data problems with a sense of urgency
• Ability to work with team to assess needs, provide assistance, and resolve problems, using excellent verbal/written communication to non-technical audiences
• Experience with industry standard risk analytics and stress testing methods
• Excellent problem solver willing to work independently
• Strong focus on quality and on addressing client needs
