Job Description

The ISE PC Lead is a leader of leaders, leading the ISE PC group. Further, this leader orchestrates the integration and delivery of analytic-driven insights and machine-learning actions for PC across the broader Commercial Analytics & AI organization. For PC, this colleague also will be the CMO analytics thought partner to the Primary Care Customer Engagement Platform Leader and their leadership team. As lead, the person in this role will drive engagement and have a clear analytics agenda throughout the year to understand strategic business needs, frame issues, and deliver actionable insights with a focus customer-facing productivity, targeting, and call impact. As the strategic partner, they will shape priorities and work closely with the broader Commercial Analytics & AI teams to drive the execution of field force tactics leveraging leading edge capabilities in AI.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting a vision for the broad Primary Care Commercial Analytics & AI organization and providing day-to-day leadership and supervision of a team of leaders, colleagues, and budget. They will collaborate closely with other Commercial Analytics & AI and ISE functional partners (Market Research Insights, Data Science and Machine Learning, Analytics Engineering, Analytics Transformation and Governance, and Analytics Project Management), leveraging the full set of analytic tools and capabilities to address opportunities and challenges. This person will partner with Primary Care leadership to identify strategic analytic needs, develop research and data analysis plans, manage the portfolio of analytics initiatives, and deliver clear and actionable recommendations to commercial leadership.

This role is dynamic, fast-paced, highly collaborative, and covers a broad range of strategic topics that are critical to our business. The successful candidate will join ISE and Commercial Analytics & AI colleagues worldwide that are constantly supporting business transformation through their proactive thought leadership, innovative analytical capabilities, and their ability to communicate highly complex and dynamic information in new and creative ways.

Role Responsibilities

Team Leadership

  • Set a vision and provide day-to-day leadership and supervision of a team of leaders and individual contributors
  • Build talent and capabilities within team and contribute to the broader talent building framework across ISE
  • Take full accountability for the delivery of analytics services, in collaboration with Analytics Project Management and the broader Commercial Analytics & AI team
  • Partner with Analytics Project Management to prioritize business deliverables in support of all Commercial Analytics & AI colleagues supporting the business
  • Lead contractor and sourcing support to maximize efficiency
  • Achieve team budget targets

Market Analytics

  • Provide market analytics leadership to Primary Care leadership to drive investment decisions across a broad portfolio of products and disease areas
  • questions related to the identification and evaluation of commercial strategies and tactics
  • Lead identification of information needs and development of research and data analysis plans for the global brands/franchises and NA region
  • Connect research and analytics together to tell a compelling and persuasive story and deliver clear and actionable recommendations to senior leadership

Field Force Analytics

  • Lead in partnership with Data Science and Machine Learning and PC leadership best-in-class sizing, structuring and targeting for the field force teams that drives sales performance
  • Develop an analytic agenda for field force optimization that includes planning processes for targeting and dynamic targeting adjustments where opportunistic
  • Measure the impact of field force changes and continuously implement learnings that have sales lift impact

Forecasting/Operating Plan Support

  • Lead epi- and advanced forecast generation activities in partnership with Epi Forecasting and Data Science and Machine Learning. This includes the development of LRF processes; operationalization and optimization of forecasting activities, core engagement capabilities with markets as necessary; and communication of forecasting assessments and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Be accountable for effective performance measurement and delivery of regular assessments of portfolio performance against forecast to leadership

Collaboration with other Analytical teams

  • Lead dialogue with local analytical teams to adapt global strategies to the local markets
  • Actively contribute to advancement of ISE capabilities through thought leadership; seek to share knowledge and expertise with other colleagues making use of knowledge sharing platform
  • Ensure alignment with Commercial Analytics & AI teams to ensure cohesive activities with our stakeholders
  • Partner with other analytic functions to advance the use of novel data sources including RWD

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering or similar required; MS or MBA preferred.
  • At least 15 of strong experience, progressive levels of responsibility leading business analytics teams, preferably in biopharmaceuticals
  • Extensive experience managing and developing people and teams
  • Led modern analytics team proficient in handling big data and cloud technologies, including big data database query, cloud environments, and scripting languages
  • Experience working in a dynamic, results-driven environment
  • Exemplary leadership, oral and written communication skills, and organizational skills
  • Leadership ability to drive collaboration across many cross-functional and expert teams
  • The ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $226,200.00 to $377,000.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 25.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
