The Digital Finance organization creates, configures, and runs digital products, platforms, and solutions that support Pfizer's core finance business functions such as Financial Consolidations, Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting, Treasury, Tax, Compliance, and Internal and External Reporting.

This Sr. Associate role is a hands-on Data Scientist role responsible for supporting current financial reporting data analysis in both on-premise and AWS cloud platforms with Machine Learning and delivering proof of concepts, small development projects, experience with various ML algorithms and/or maintenance projects. The candidate should be highly self-motivated, eager to explore new technologies, and is effective when working in a team environment. A strong aptitude towards self-development and growth is highly desired.

How You Will Achieve It

• Provide application support and execute day to day ML and data analytics operational maintenance activities for financial reporting applications
• Troubleshoot and diagnose system issues
• Support and execute project deployment activities
• Perform Infrastructure configuration management
• Assist with the transition of all new applications into the support model
• Drive operational efficiencies through continuous improvements
• Liaise with solution delivery team to analyze and confirm opportunities for optimization
• Maintain support operating procedures and work instructions
• Support compliance activities (Audit preparation, Disaster recovery execution, etc.) ?

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar field
• 3 years of demonstrated experience working in development and/or support teams
• 1 year of demonstrated experience with Data Science tools
• Identify data sources for business needs
• Enhance data collections/cleansing
• Analysis data patterns and find answers to the business questions
• Build models/ML algorithms
• Operationalize the models and maintain them
• Understanding of core data science concepts
• Prototype and train new Machine Learning models
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management capabilities
• Strong interpersonal skills in building customer relationships
• Ability to work independently and or in a global team setting across time zones
• Proficiency of at least two programming languages such as R Studio, SQL, Python, Spark, PySpark, or JavaScript

Nice-to-Have

• Pharmaceutical life science domain experience
• Exposure to Finance reporting applications
• Familiar with SDLC/Agile methodologies
• Exposure to DevOps processes
• Data Science certification

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

• Job will require working with global teams and applications. Flexible working schedule will be needed on occasion to accommodate planned agile sprint planning and system releases as well as unplanned/on-call level 3 support.
• Potential post-pandemic travel required for critical project work < 10%
