Job Description

As an experienced Data Engineer, you help expand our position with customers in the world of Aviation. Within our team you will further develop the development and maintenance of (Cloud) data platforms and contribute to the implementation of the architecture of new projects. Together with a team of Data Scientists, Engineers and Architects, you will work for various Aviation customers of CGI.

Thanks to the knowledge and experience that you bring with you as a Data Engineer, you play a leading role in the team and help colleagues to grow further in the field of Data Engineering. You know how to recommend the right data infrastructure elements and help with technical solutions. You are able to translate industry and IT trends into innovative solutions that fit the business operations of our customers.

What are you bringing?

You have a passion for data and innovation and are well informed about the latest developments in your field. Innovation is your driving force. You are naturally curious, proactive and know how to easily win others over to your ideas. In addition, you are active in sharing and developing your knowledge within your field. You have an Agile mindset and experience working in an Agile environment. We also require:

• A completed HBO or WO education with a relevant field of study (e.g. software

engineering, data science or similar)

• At least 3 years of work experience as a Data Engineer
• Demonstrable practical experience with: Python, Gurobi, Git, Online versioning tools such as

BitBucket or Github

• Demonstrable experience and current knowledge of: Database management (SQL)
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience of some data processing and machine learning libraries

such as: fastapi, numpy, pandas, matplotlib, seaborn or other tools

• Demonstrable work experience with Cloud data platforms , such as Azure, AWS or Google
• Good command of the Dutch and English language, spoken and written.

Where will you end up?

As a Data Engineer you will work for the Aviation unit within the Defense, Transport & Logistics sector. The world is becoming increasingly intelligent, with people, devices and organizational services all connected. CGI Aviation helps airlines, airports and air traffic control to be successful, in teams and independently. CGI devises and realizes smart solutions for, for example, the digital airport, the passenger journey and optimizing fleet maintenance.

We offer you a permanent contract, so that you immediately have job security. Part-time work, for example 32 or 36 hours per week, is negotiable, we are happy to offer you that flexibility.
