As an AI Developer (m/f/d) you support a highly dynamic team in the implementation of sophisticated AI projects for customers in the public sector. You will help us implement innovative projects, especially in the use of Large Language Models and other foundation models to increase the efficiency of administrative work. Together we create the administration of the 21st century, for example by providing digital assistants or digitizing administrative processes.

Our hybrid working model allows you a healthy mix of home office and work at customer locations. Of course, our offices in Kaiserslautern, Eschborn (near Frankfurt am Main) and Alsfeld are also available to you.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• You identify patterns, connections and approaches for process optimization.
• You take on the management and governance of training data
• You are responsible for responsible and ethical AI development, especially in compliance with the requirements of the AI Act
• You design and develop AI solutions for our customers, data engineering, model development and provision of the models include.
• You work with different IT and specialist departments and find yourself in a demanding and varied project environment.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• You have completed a degree in (business) computer science, mathematics, statistics or have a comparable qualification.
• You are well versed in the various machine learning methods and model types.
• Ideally, you already have two or more years of professional experience in the field of data science or with AI applications.
• You are familiar with the relevant software stack and have already gained experience in projects.
• You also have experience in preparing and analyzing data as well as designing and implementing data pipelines.
• Experience with natural language processing, especially when dealing with large language models, is a great advantage
• You enthusiastically solve complex tasks and have a cross-departmental way of thinking.
• Teamwork, reliability and commitment are among your strengths.
• You are fluent in spoken and written German and English (German at least at B2 level).
