Job Description

In this role, you will: 

  • Work cross-functionally with data scientists, machine learning engineers, project managers, and industry experts to develop robust, highly scalable AI infrastructure and deployment services for our novel machine learning applications.
  • Leverage skills in modern data architecture, cloud engineering, data transformation, and management of structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Design and build high-quality, scalable, and secure AI/ML models and applications on the AWS platform.
  • Establish and set up model life cycle management with tools like MLFlow, etc.
  • Develop and implement strategies for optimizing the performance and scalability of machine learning models in production.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and develop innovative solutions.
  • Implement and maintain data pipelines for AI/ML models.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of AI/ML models in production.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest AI/ML technologies and best practices and help promote their adoption within the organization.
  • Develop and maintain automation tools and processes for deploying and scaling machine learning models.
  • Ensure the security and compliance of the machine learning infrastructure, including data privacy and protection regulations.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science or related field with 12+ years professional experience

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience in developing ML infrastructure and MLOps in the Cloud using AWS SageMaker.
  • Experience with workflow and data management solutions such as Airflow, Arrow, Kafka, IoT, Glue, etc.
  • Hands-on experience in operationalizing AI/ML models, particularly in the power systems domain.
  • Familiarity with power systems apps and data, including SCADA, PMU, and EMS data.
  • Experience in building large scale batch, data pipelines, and ETL pipeline with data processing frameworks in AWS. 
  • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, model evaluation, and optimization techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with model development and deployment including training, validation, and monitoring.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Hands-on expertise in Machine Learning frameworks and ecosystem, such as TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, numpy, and panda.
  • Hands-on experience with container orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, ECS.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and version control.
  • Experience in relational and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, EKS, RDS, graph etc.), API and in-memory technologies.
  • Experience with data engineering and ETL processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The salary range for this position is 120,800.00 - 151,000.00 USD Annual]. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for [a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity]. Available benefits include Medical, Dental, and Vision. *Please note, the benefits can be Health, Medical, 401K, Paid Leave.
