ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Director of data analytics and AI solutions is responsible for:

  • Define the process to collect, structure and use of databases for AI, to extract value internally and for our customers
  • Build a team of AI/ML experts to develop differentiated products and solutions; with ability to work on customers value-driven applications/analytics to drive innovations
  • Develop the key capabilities required for data management and data analytics across Grid Automation
  • Lead the development of AI/ML community within Grid Automation
  • Build the development environment necessary to effectively use the AI/ML technology (MLOps)
  • Collaborate with product management, R&D, and other functions in GA to define, develop, and deploy AI/ML applications
  • Ability to contribute & influence industry regulations, data policy, protection and privacy terms & conditions
  • Ability to build maturity models to improve technology readiness levels of appropriate AI/ML models for business operational efficiency improvements as well as, industrial applications, especially energy/grid application.
  • Actively collaborate to build competency in the business on Big Data, OR, Business intelligence

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or electric power engineering, specifically in the computer and electric power engineering field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience and knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), including, unsupervised learning, supervised learning, and reinforcement learning, large language models (LLMs).
  • Minimum of 5 years of research or industry experience with simulation using scientific programming tools or languages, such as MATLAB, C++, C#, or Python, R, etc.
  • Minimum of 3 years of data science working experience

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:

  • PhD Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or electric power engineering, specifically in the computer and electric power engineering field
  • Flexible and adaptable; open to change and modification of innovation strategies agile manner.
  • Proven experience in applying AI/ML frameworks/workflows, AI/MLOps with CI/CD using Cloud-native and on-prem development and deployment in OT/industrial automation environments.
  • Strategist to build AI and data digitalization roadmap alignment with customer requirements.
  • Able to influence international committee for data privacy and protection regulation and in decision meeting with customers, partners or project developers.
  • Familiarity with energy industry standards and documentation procedures
  • Experience as AI solution lead architect, AI team lead, industry recognized subject matter expert.
  • PhD. Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or electric power engineering, specifically in the computer and electric power engineering field with minimum 5 years of data science working experience.
  • Advanced experience in utilizing and applying common programming languages, such as Python, C/C++, Java, Spark and Hadoop, R Programming, Kafka, C#, MATLAB, along with good familiarity with power system modeling and data communication format.
  • Expertise in Machine learning/Deep learning methods - LLM, NLP, Computer vision/ Image Processing
  • Expertise of GraphDB, SQL/NoSQL, MS Access, databases
  • Understanding/experience applying data analytics for Electrical Power System or industrial OT system
  • Understanding of Linux, GPU Experience, Spark, Scala for distributed computing
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive and open approach to conflict resolution
  • Strong organizational skills, self-motivated, and self-directed
  • Proven record of writing and presenting papers at industry conferences/journals
  • Out-of-box ideas rapid prototyping to create functional prototypes
  • Knowledge in industrial automation, application of AI technologies for Industrial Automation.
