The GE Vernova Human Resources team is seeking a Data Scientist to join the Strategy and Analytics team and contribute to action and progress towards our People strategy. This includes developing key performance indicators, dashboards and other analytics tailored to our priorities.

Essential Responsibilities
Lead data and evidence-based research into people metrics, reporting and advanced/predictive analytics to support the HR function.
Translate data analytics and insights into visualizations to better understand priority topics like diversity, workforce, attrition, engagement, and more.
Support employee listening activities including data management, data analysis, end user access/visibility, reporting, data visualization, and benchmarking.
Translate data insights into a compelling story for a wide range of audiences, including senior HR executives, the executive team, and the board of directors.
Collaborate with analytics contacts within businesses to facilitate sharing of best practices, troubleshooting, and needs analysis.
Develop resources and materials to improve the skills of HR colleagues in using, interpreting and applying people data/information.
Contribute to ad hoc analyses, special projects and initiatives for the HR Strategy and Analytics function.
Monitor key indicators to identify relevant patterns/trends.
Collaborate with the People Analytics Manager and other HR leaders to design data research, define hypotheses, aggregate data, and run several different statistical models.
Test a combination of platforms, programs, and programs to develop algorithms around attrition, recruiting, and other key people metrics.
Collaborate with colleagues to resolve issues with data and data sources.
Ensure all data privacy requirements are met when accessing and disseminating reports.
Ensure high standards of accuracy and quality are maintained.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's degree or significant relevant experience in HR data analytics or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/knowledge
Relevant experience in analytics (not specifically HR), with a proven track record of delivering value-added insights, ideally within a multinational organization.
Experience with visualization techniques and analysis approaches where you manage and analyze structured and unstructured data.
Experience with advanced statistical methods related to hypothesis testing, clustering, machine learning predictions and text mining.
Superior analytical skills with ability to evaluate data and trends using quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques.
Experience in high-dimensional data modeling.
Experience with tools and languages such as Python, R, Tableau, and designing and implementing data pipelines to deliver continuous insights.
