The Gaussline team is a small, passionate group of cross-functional individuals. Our objective is to push the limits of MR system hardware by using novel artificial intelligence and deep learning models to improve the overall performance of the system. We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to grow and lead the development of new features within our data science space. You will be a part of delivering key solutions for our product offering to ensure that many more can use this new MR system to its fullest potential.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role you will be leading the development of a few features being developed in the Gaussline MR team. Our expectations are that you will deliver the following:

• Deep Learning algorithms that help with the compensation of reduced performance due to system hardware modifications
• Incorporation and evaluation of new loss functions and other optimization techniques for our deep learning algorithm pipeline
• Development of algorithms that can support multiple different facets of the product need including denoising, acceleration, and other novel techniques that will have significant impact on the product for our customers
• Work closely with our medical review board to get inputs and insights on the performance of your solutions to determine clinical value and iterate accordingly based on their feedback
• Grow and mentor other more junior Data Scientists within the team

Qualification/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
• 5 plus years of industry experience working on deep learning and image processing
• Proficiency developing software applications in C++ and Python

Desired Characteristics:

• Familiarity with deep learning algorithm development on MR images
• Experience in application of Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence to medical imaging
• Experience in Machine and Deep Learning development libraries such as TensorFlow and Keras and programming in Python
• Has the ability to take ownership of features and deliver without supervision while using their discretion to seek help when necessary
• Have a strong mindset to constantly keep the customer first – Ultimately they will determine our success
